A native of New Jersey, Dr. Derek Faktor has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College, as well as his Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master of Business Administration from Temple University. He completed his General Practice Residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan.
Wanting to offer his patients the best care possible, Dr. Derek later furthered his education by completing the Full Mouth Reconstruction and Implant Surgical program at New York University College of Dentistry, where he trained in advanced oral reconstruction and surgical placement of dental implants. Dr. Derek served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU CDE, teaching dentists in all surgical aspects of implant dentistry.
Dr. Derek’s vast experience in cosmetic reconstruction and periodontal plastics, as well as his caring approach and gentle nature, has made him one of New York’s most sought-after dentists.

Dr. Shupe brings fresh energy to the FaktorDMD team. His dynamic skill set allows him to treat a wide variety of our patients.
Dr. Adam Shupe earned his undergraduate B.S. degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University and his Master's in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers RWJ School of Medicine. Furthering his education, Dr. Shupe obtained his DDS degree from NYU College of Dentistry where he graduated with honors in esthetic dentistry. Dr. Shupe then went on to complete postgraduate training in a Level-1 trauma center as a general practice resident at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. During his residency, he became immersed in all aspects of general, traumatic, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Shupe is dedicated to excellence and has a passion for fine detail that is exemplified in his work.

Dr. Amnon Faktor was accepted into Temple Dental School after just two years of undergraduate studies at Rutgers University. Upon graduation, he began his residency in the United States Air Force from 1967-1969 while simultaneously serving his country. Dr. Amnon did rotations in oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics, as well as radiology and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Amnon has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education to solidify his commitment to service, even to this day.
Dr. Amnon is a member of the American Dental Association, as well as the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Association. He has been a dedicated dentist serving the Manalapan area for over four decades, in some cases seeing third generation family patients.
